We hope you had a wonderful break and had the opportunity to rest, recharge and reset for what we believe will be a year full of new learnings and challenges.
This first week was no exception. Our hearts and minds are with our friends, founders, collaborators, LPs and strangers who continue to have their lives uprooted by the devastating fires in LA. We appreciate those of you who have reached out to Nina; she and her family are fortunately safe, but her first-hand experience highlights the long road of recovery ahead.
As seed stage investors, we have the fortunate position to turn the negativity we face today into better solutions for the next decade—to reimagine what life will look like at scale in a better, healthier and more sustainable future. We believe that as a society, we are currently undergoing long-lasting behavior and technology shifts that will define generations. At Palette, we define behavior shifts as the evolution of our innate human needs, while technology shifts serve as the foundation for new solutions that exponentially advance the way we live. When these shifts coincide, we believe there to be a unique opportunity for growth, so we’re excited for what 2025 holds.
The second half of 2024 helped us cross some major milestones: a first and second close; two fund investments (more on that below); and our first Palette founder & funder soirée in LA (with more to come). Needless to say, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves, alongside our fellow founders, to drive the long-lasting, impactful innovations that will make every day healthier, happier and more accessible, for everyone.

We welcomed our second Fund I investment to the portfolio. Trellis Health powers generational health, with the first family-based intelligent health operating system. In the past, families had a family doctor who treated multiple generations and could see patterns in lifetime health. Today, the average American sees >100 different doctors in their lifetime, and while we technically own our health data, we cannot easily access it as it’s scattered across doctors, hospital networks, labs and data exchanges.
Trellis is building a modern, consumer-centric platform for precision health, starting with a unique wedge at pregnancy. ****With a single click, Trellis securely pulls in 10+ years of personal health data and converts the raw, billing-oriented entries into a clean architecture with a consumer-first, intuitive front end. Trellis not only delivers this data directly to consumers, but also builds a prediction engine personal to each family, enabling consumers to move their relationship with their health from the standard, reactive approach, to a proactive, personalized and preventative approach that is unique to their family's health history. Its prediction AI supports consumers throughout their lifetime health journeys.
In Beta, Trellis has organically onboarded 200+ paying customers, across 8 states with 3x referrals per user and less than 2% of users churning post-pregnancy, showing strong initial signs of product-market fit.
